CRCL received allegations that U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) violated the civil rights and civil liberties of noncitizens at the Strafford County Department of Corrections in Dover, New Hampshire.
CRCL conducted a periodic review of U.S. Customs and Border Protection's sexual abuse prevention and response program, including the DHS regulation under the Prison Rape Elimination Act of 2003 (PREA), the DHS Standards to Prevent, Detect, and Respond to Sexual Abuse in Confinement Facilities.
CRCL received allegations and reviewed information alleging that U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) were using unreliable or unverified information to identify individuals as gang members, gang affiliates, and related accusations, and then using this information in immigration enforcement activities and immigration proceedings.
