  • Technical Resource for Incident Prevention (TRIPwire) Portal

    Developed and maintained by the DHS Office for Bombing Prevention (OBP), TRIPwire combines expert analyses and reports with relevant documents, images, and videos gathered directly from sources to help users anticipate, identify, and prevent Improvised Explosive Device (IED) incidents. A secure, restricted-access information-sharing platform, TRIPwire is available at no cost to registered subscribers and features a publicly accessible homepage with valuable preparedness information for the whole community.

  • Law Enforcement Notification System (LENS)

    The Law Enforcement Notification System (LENS) is a web-based system that provides local law enforcement with information on federal offenders currently on supervision with the U.S. Courts. LENS allows real time updates regarding these offenders and provides the ability to search neighboring jurisdictions and nationwide.

  • DHS Special Events Program

    The DHS Special Events Program (SEP) manages the National Special Event Data Call (NSEDC), which is an annual process that relies on the voluntary participation of states and territories to collect information on events occurring in their jurisdictions. Over 40,000 events are voluntarily submitted to the NSEDC by state and local authorities each year. The primary data collection period opens the first week of August and remains open for six weeks. The SEP continues to accept event submissions throughout the year as “short notice events.” All events submitted to the NSEDC receive a Special Events Assessment Rating (SEAR) that is applied using a risk-based analytical approach.

  • Nationwide Suspicious Activity Reporting (SAR) Initiative (NSI)

    The Nationwide Suspicious Activity Reporting (SAR) Initiative (NSI) is a joint collaborative effort by DHS, FBI, and state, local, tribal, and territorial law enforcement partners. This initiative provides law enforcement with another tool to help prevent terrorism and other related criminal activity by establishing a national capacity for gathering, documenting, processing, analyzing, and sharing SAR information.

  • CBRNE Program

    The Federal Protective Service responds to credible chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear and energetic materials (CBRNE) threats or incidents. The CBRNE Program provides support to incident investigations, threat assessments, emergency operations, and provides evacuation support, mutual aid, and training assistance. The CWMD Office supports Federal, State, Local, Tribal, and Territorial (FSLTT) partners with funding, equipment and support. This is primarily accomplished through the flagship CBRN programs BioWatch, Securing the Cities, and the Mobile Detection Deployment Program and through the Training and Exercise program.
