    This is a summary of CRCL’s Recommendation Memorandum to ICE in March 2024 that followed CRCL’s onsite “spot check” investigation at the Immigration Centers of America – Farmville.  ICE responded to CRCL in July 2024 and concurred with 21 of CRCL’s recommendations, partially concurred with four, and non-concurred with eight.

    This is a summary of CRCL’s Recommendation Memorandum to USCIS in December 2023 about disability modifications at Application Support Centers.  USCIS responded to CRCL in June 2024 and concurred with CRCL’s one recommendation.

  • Retention Memorandum: Winn Correctional Center

    On September 5, 2024, CRCL issued ICE this memorandum announcing its multidisciplinary onsite investigation at the Winn Correctional Center in Winnfield, Louisiana.  An investigation into allegations that ICE violated the civil rights and civil liberties of noncitizens detained by ICE at Winn.  

  • DHS/S&T/PIA-045 Public Safety and Violence Prevention (PSVP) Research

    The U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Science and Technology Directorate (S&T) funds a social and behavioral science research portfolio on public safety and violence prevention (PSVP) that supports the DHS Countering Terrorism and Targeted Violence Strategic Framework and the National Strategy for Countering Domestic Terrorism.

  • EMOTR TTX Reports

    DHS S&T partnered with Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL) on the Emergency Management of Tomorrow Research (EMOTR) program. PNNL hosted three tabletop exercises (TTX) to develop concepts for the Emergency Operations Center (EOC) of the Future and provide recommendations to assist DHS S&T in future decision-making with regards to research and development (R&D) and investments toward establishing a framework for a national, coordinated approach to EM.
