Border Enforcement Analytics Program Apex Infographic

The Border Enforcement Analytics Program (BEAP) will provide advanced computing and analytical solutions that enable Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Homeland Security Investigation (HSI) to effectively combine and analyze multiple, large disparate data sets to increase enforcement effectiveness. The initial Big Data operating capability is currently supporting counter-proliferation casework.

APEX PROGRAMS BORDER ENFORCEMENT ANALYTICS PROGRAM. The Border Enforcement Analytics Program (BEAP) will provide advanced computing and analytical solutions that enable Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Homeland Security Investigation (HSI) to effectively combine and analyze multiple, large disparate data sets to increase enforcement effectiveness. The initial Big Data operating capability is currently supporting counter-proliferation casework. This capability enables HSI to discover patterns of illicit shipments of U.S. weapons and technologies intended for terrorists, criminal organizations, and foreign adversaries. BEAP IS CHANGING INVESTIGATIONS BY: Conducting data-directed investigations and seizures of prohibited shipments; Generating situational awareness reports of illicit activity around the World; and Sharing analytic results with interagency and foreign partners to collaborate on counter-proliferation. This allows: New Investigative Capabilities, Increase Enforcement Effectiveness, Transform Operations, Cost-Effective Solutions, Rapid Experimentation, and Cross-Domain Scalable Architecture.
