The Maryland Test Facility (MdTF)

MDTF logo The  Maryland Test Facility (MdTF) provides a controlled, reconfigurable environment suitable for comparing and contrasting technologies, observing and documenting human-device interactions, and measuring the impact of process changes on system and/or human performance.

The fully reconfigurable test area is capable of housing several different simulated operational concepts of operation in customizable bays. Test protocols are reviewed by an Independent Institutional Review Board (IRB) and demographics of the volunteer test subject pool are representative of the relevant operational environment. Additionally, apart from the testing space, the facility contains extensive instrumentation and observation capabilities. This allows for the capture of audio, visual, and other data required for analysis of throughput, accuracy, and usability.

For more information, please view the S&T Maryland Test Facility Fact Sheet.
