Terrorism poses a great risk to societies worldwide, and challenges persist in our ability to prevent its threat. The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Science and Technology Directorate (S&T) directly supports DHS’ terrorism prevention mission, conducting applied research to deliver new capabilities and evaluating program and policy impacts to build the evidence base of what works.
