This document is the final report for the Enhanced Dynamic Geo-Social Environment (EDGE) Virtual Training and Transition project. The project was commissioned by the Department of Homeland Security Science and Technology Directorate following a series of projects focused on requirements gathering, EDGE software development in partnership with the U.S. Army and preliminary transition planning. The software effort produced a first responder "sandbox" for developing exercises for the virtual training of law enforcement, fire services, and emergency medical services personnel to respond to active shooter scenarios loosely based on the Mumbai hotel attacks of 2008.
