The U.S. Department of Homeland Security Science and Technology Directorate (S&T), in partnership with the National Aeronautics and Space Administration’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory (NASA JPL) has developed technology to better pinpoint survivors in collapsed structures: the Finding Individuals for Disaster and Emergency Response, or FINDER.
