Facebook Tech Talk: Next Generation First Responder Integration Handbook

Every day across the nation, first responders protect our communities, respond to emergencies and save lives, sometimes while using outdated technology. Responders may be overburdened with data and devices, requiring smarter, more seamless solutions to be better protected, connected and fully aware. The DHS Science and Technology Directorate's Next Generation First Responder Integration Handbook aims to provide first responders with a ‘plug and play’ standards-based environment to enable commercially developed technologies to integrate with existing first responder systems and infrastructure.

Join us to discuss S&T's Next Generation First Responder Integration Handbook and learn how you can help shape the Next Generation First Responder. During this livestream discussion, we will introduce Program Manager Norman Speicher and special guests who will highlight how industry and responders can get involved in the further development of the Integration Handbook.

The Handbook input process is one way DHS S&T is working directly with industry to collaborate on future development of standards and architecture for first responder technologies. In doing so, we can help empower responders to have the support systems they need to fulfill their mission.

Please join us April 10th at 1 p.m. ET for a Facebook Live Tech Talk to learn how you can contribute to the NGFR Integration Handbook and understand its role in strengthening responder capabilities. The livestream will take place on the S&T Facebook page – follow us for the latest updates!
