WASHINGTON — The Department of Homeland Security Science and Technology Directorate (S&T) Transition to Practice (TTP) program will introduce its 2017 cohort of eight new technologies during a Demonstration Day event May 16 at the J.W. Marriott hotel in Washington, D.C.
Each fiscal year, S&T’s Cyber Security Division TTP program selects promising cybersecurity technologies developed with federal funding to incorporate into its proven transition-to-market program. The TTP program selects the technologies from Department of Energy National Laboratories, Department of Defense-affiliated laboratories, Federally Funded Research and Development Centers, University Affiliated Research Centers, and universities. During this Demonstration Day event, the 2017 cohort will be introduced to cybersecurity professionals, investors, developers and integrators—and technology companies, including those from the energy, financial and government sectors. This demo day event is the first for this cohort in a series across the country that will help spur pilot opportunities and kick-start commercialization by connecting the technologies with cybersecurity professionals who can advance the technologies and turn them into commercially viable products.
