Scientist preparing nano-microscope The Office of Science & Engineering (OSE) plays a central role within the DHS Science and Technology Directorate (S&T) by providing technical expertise, enduring research, analysis, and knowledge products and services to customers across the Homeland Security Enterprise. OSE's contributions strengthen mission outcomes by optimizing decision making, advancing science, enabling technical development, and enhancing acquisition effectiveness for HSE customers.

The office provides products and services that deliver game-changing mission impact to our customers. We help increase operational capabilities in the field, decrease Departmental acquisition risks, and provide leadership with the analysis and tools they need to make better-informed decisions. OSE makes valuable contributions to our customers each and every day.

Our Divisions provide support both within S&T and across the Homeland Security Enterprise.
