Office of Innovation & Collaboration

The Rapid DNA technology, ruggedized for field use, can complete a DNA test within 90 minutes or less at the scene of mass casualty incidents. This low-cost tool helps officials identify victims and inform family members in a timely manner. The Office of Innovation and Collaboration is the Science and Technology Directorate's (S&T) conduit to a broad network of external partners. It provides the homeland security community outreach and access to partnerships with world-class subject matter experts, resources and innovative tools. It leverages external relationships with other government agencies, industry, foreign partners, and academia to provide S&T programs, DHS components, and the vast homeland security network with access to innovative security solutions.
