SAVER Project: Pumps for Flood Management

Auxiliary mobile pumps are not a substitute for proper flood control infrastructure design and advance mitigation of flood hazards, but  they can be used to assist in the removal of water when flooding does occur. Responders can use mobile pumps for active flood response to combat rising water as well as flood mitigation by enhancing natural drainage after flooding has occurred.
