WASHINGTON—The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Science and Technology Directorate (S&T) Silicon Valley Innovation Program (SVIP) and S&T’s Cyber Security Division (CSD) will cohost a Homeland Security Day in Boston on November 14 to introduce technology startups and investors to the cybersecurity challenges threatening the financial services sector.
DHS S&T SVIP offers funding for early-stage startups with commercial technologies that are adaptable and capable to protect the homeland. This event will provide information about SVIP and allow tech professionals to interact with members of DHS S&T and cybersecurity experts from the financial services sector during which they can familiarize themselves with the needs of the financial industry. CSD’s Next Generation Cyber Infrastructure Apex Program is working to develop and deploy cutting-edge technologies and tools the financial services sector can use to defend against cyber threats. CSD is part of the Homeland Security Advanced Research Projects Agency.
