Electronic Jamming Infographic

Body

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Federal Communications Commission (FCC) and law enforcement officials have noted an increase in jamming activity over the last several years. These threats can intentionally or unintentionally interfere with responder communications. Federal law prohibits the operation, manufacture, sale, marketing, importation, distribution or shipment of jamming equipment.

In response, DHS and the FCC have released a Joint Jammer Infographic that informs public safety officials of the effects of jamming and suggested mitigation tactics, and outlines how to report suspected jamming to the FCC.
