Flood Data Collection and Analysis

  • FloodMapp (Fortitude Valley, Queensland, Australia) will enhance their real-time flood modelling technology to provide reliable real-time data and models to understand the flooding impacts at the local level. Understanding the flood source and flood patterns will lead to immediate action and recovery. (Initial award September 2022)—Currently in Phase 2
  • Floodbase (Brooklyn, NY) proposes modeling the peak extent of a flood using near real-time data from satellites, artificial intelligence and on-the ground data. The flood analytics will provide the government with data that will inform flood preparedness and recovery. (Initial award September 2022)—Currently in Phase 2
  • Synthetik Insurance Analytics (Pierre, SD) will leverage its DeepSpace-AI® technology, CityScape® platform by improving the quality and resolution of temporal and spatial flood data, enhance location data for insured properties, and apply analytics to quantify flood damage to insured building stock with greater accuracy and resolution. (Initial Award April 2023) – Currently in Phase 1
